I did the canoe orienteering activity amongst the little islands in loch Ard as part of a corporate group. The little competition game was really great and we did enjoy it very much.
Stopped off here today to get a fishing permit, was told how where the best spots were. whilst there I witnessed true Scottish hospitality they have to offer. There were children of all ages and parents asking for various things and the staff accommodated them all!
Great fun. Good basic training and we spent an peaceful hour in warm sunshine on the loch canoeing. Don't forget the midgie spray. I was happy to pay £18- thought it was good value. Basic training and life jackets given.
We arrived at go country fairly late in the day at 2pm. We hadnt booked anything but hoped to hire a couple of kayaks or a canoe to go for a wee paddle then find somewhere to camp for the night. The staff member there suggested that we could hire the canoe over night and camp anywhere on the loch.... More
Took my son here for a wee adventure for the two of us. After some canoe tuition, we set out across the loch to find our spot for the night and to practice in the canoes. What a stunning place - water was like a mirror it was so calm and no noise! We then returned to base after exploring... More
Loads of different activities and reasonably priced. Book early as some activities get booked up (quads, shooting and gorge walking) though you should be able to get canoe hire and mountain bike hire fairly easily
We hired some bikes. £14 for the day is a bit steep. They were not well serviced with a lot of the gears not selectable. They had clearly not been washed when the last people brought them back.
Absolutely fantastic trip despite the rain .................. Found staff very friendly, helpful and encouraging, cannot praise them enough. We were given a larger tent than we had booked which was so appreciated as it allowed us to keep ourselves and our kit dry in the downpours. Absolutely stunning location. Highly recommended - would definitely return and have already encouraged others... More
Centre was not able to provide activities for young children. The staff came accross as uninterested and not motivated to assist.
