My wife and passed this picturesque castle on our drive to Galway and Doolin and had to stop in. We walked inside the walls, visited the gift shop but could not attend that show that night. It was just cool to be inside the walls of a real ancient castle though. Recommend stopping by!

It was super easy to stop roadside and get over to the castle. It was nice to see - there is a private tour that you can pay for but we just chose to walk around the grounds independently. It is short and takes little time but nice to see. There is also a nice giftshop with some handmade items.

I highly recommend this castle to visit....yes there are limited toilet resources available and may seem unconventional but it is a medieval castle after all.
