Great docent. The church combines interesting history with good architecture. Make sure that you note the side altars and they have their own stories.

I love to visit churches and cathedrals. This is an architecturally significant structure and one of the main attractions in the city of Killarney. Don't miss it, even if only for a few minutes.

At the foot of Killarney National Park, St. Mary's Cathedral shoots high into the sky and can be seen from many parts of Killarney. Whether you want to stroll around the grounds or visit inside... It's well worth at least a short visit!

It is very beautiful and once you walk in it would be very easy to convert non-believers!! when there there was a funeral Mass and I was so impressed with how many attended it and the respect they showed, not only the deceased but also the funeral ceremony.

This is another Pugin designed jewel. The simplicity of the site and design from the outside makes the interior even more special. The capture of light is amazing and the side alters and main alter are stunningly beautiful.

Had some time and was in the area... dropped in and was greatly impressed. The stained glass windows will take some time to absorb and appreciate. A very worthwhile and inspirational attraction in Killarney. And the kids also loved it. A gorgeous cathedral.

Our hotel was within walking distance, so we strolled there on a 'misting' Saturday evening for vigil Mass. It was beautiful inside so we stayed after Mass for some photos...still pouring outside and didn't have a way to call a cab. A 'knight in shining armor' usher was approached to possibly use his phone to call a cab. No, no!... More

The cathedral towers above everything else in town. its location near a small river and walking oath is beautiful. The interiors were striking with stained glass and stone predominating. The windows had short descriptions which helped us appreciate their meaning beyond the aesthetics. The stone used inside gave the interior a beautiful look which is unique from other cathdrals we... I didn't expect Cathedral of this size in a relatively small town as Killarney but THIS. WOW. St. Mary's Cathedral is a beautiful huge green building that is seen from different points of the town and the park
