The tour was very personable and was a great introduction to the local culture and sites of Kilkenny. My friend and I learned a lot and really enjoyed the friendly, easy going style of the tour. We would absolutely do it again!

This tour is only about an hour and it gives you a great overview of all the notable places in Kilkenny. A few of the sights we didn't know about were on the tour and were great finds. Plus we received a discount coupon for some of the must-sees. Ivan, the tour guide, is tons of fun, incredibly friendly, and... More

There is only one way to see many of the sight of Killenny. The streets are so narrow only one vehicle can navigate the back roads. We saw several of the cathedrals but the historic information was pre-recorded and lacked the locals touch. It is a way to see the medieval city.

Have visited Kilkenny many times but this was my first time to do the city tour. It only takes around 30 mins but gives you a good overview of the city. I got to learn about the history of the city and saw parts I'd never been to before. It was a fun way to pass a half hour.

We took the half hour trolley tour and didn't think it was worth the money. As it traveled through the narrow streets we got to see the doors of many buildings. The trolley stopped at several locations but photo opportunities were not there. You cannot get off the trolley. We found it much better walking through the town taking pictures... More

We did the Kilkenny City Tour with the lil train and massive teddy who sat in the passenger seat. It was very good. It's half hour long but we got to see the sights of Kilkenny. Defo recommend it. Good laugh.

I am a Kilkenny native but took the tour for the first time with my children yesterday. I echo what others are saying in that it gives a great overview of the city and has snippets on all the main places. Its hard to keep the kids interested for long and the 25 mins on the train was just enough.... More

Excellent starting point for an introduction to Kilkenny. A 30min, narrated tour of the highlights to whet the appetite. We followed advice and took the tour first, then used the information to select items for further exploration later. We thoroughly recommend this starting point.

It is hard to miss this black-and-amber locomotive and cars gliding around the streets of Kilkenny. A recorded narration gives a fun and fascinating variety of facts about 15 or so sites on this 25-minute tour. My husband is a Kilkenny native, and even he learned a few things about this lovely medieval city! The train runs very smoothly and... More

We visited Kilkenny with our family last September and decided to go on the Black and Yellow train. The kids loved it, and the tour was the perfect length. It was really handy for giving us a broad idea of the lay out of the town and the basic history. The train also took us to parts of the town... More
