Thisi is more than a University, its a veritable resort. Even if you have no interest in attending for scholarly pursuits it has great grounds including cafe's and walks (including the longest pedestrian bridge in Europe apparently). Its a great way to pass away a couple of hours easily strolling (or more strenuous if you're inclined) through the grounds, Have... More

UL is a fine, modern university and sports campus. It is home to the Munster Rugby team and houses the National 50m swimming pool in the University Arena. Check out Ger Hartman's extraordinary facility in the Arena - it's worth a visit.

I visited Ireland because my son was studying abroad at the University of Limerick. The tour he gave us of the school absolutely impressed me. It has a beautiful setting, lovely walks throughout the campus, and hidden castles to explore. His accommodations were a little bit less than what I had anticipated, but the academic buildings and the grounds were... More

Well worth a trip even if you are not a student. Beautiful buildings and superb walks about the campus. Walk from the campus all the way into the city along the river Shannon.

Great bus connections from city centre. A very spacious campus with modern buildings and a great rural atmosphere even though it is located on the fringe of one of Ireland's major cities. Plenty of car parking spaces make it a pleasure to visit for any of the many events held in the concert hall.

One normally would not think of a University as an amemity but UL is in a league of its own as a visitor attraction, there are very interesting buildings, art and Murals, great river walks, open spaces and sculputre and one can have lunch at the Pavilion while watching sports being played on the all weather pitches
