When you visit Bru na Boinne, you have the option of taking tours to Newgrange, Knowth and/or the visitor's center. We were visiting in March and experienced about an hour wait, so I suggest you check in with the Newgrange and/or Knowth "front desk" when you arrive at the visitor center to reserve a place on one of the buses.... Definately worth the visit, during busier tourist seasons the wait to get in can be very long, so go during an off season if possible, plan on spending at least 1/2 day to a day here if you want to explore all the exhibits. The guided tour really brings it all together More

The conditions of the sites is grand and well worth the trip. Unfortunately, much of what you will learn is subjective and modern man's best guess at what is hidden behind the veil of time. The people who work at the site are marvelous and very helpful from the museum staff to the bus drivers to the tour guides. More
