A great place to walk, run or cycle on your own or with family and friends. In addition to the water park there was a fantastic walk/cycle down the river Mersey to Sale water. I have been here loads of times. I only live 15/20 mins walk away. Great day out if you want a quick walk. Lots to see, birds, trees, flora/fauna that kind of thing. A great kids play area and usually an ice cream van. really good place to go for a couple of hours of the country in the city.
The park was made when stone was needed for the nearby motorways (M56 and M60). the good bit is now its a very nice walk about 40 minutes around the lake and the River near by ..the Fishing is great (i been told ) as is the Bird life. and fishing spots are to be found all around the lake... More

Good selection of swings and kids play area. Easy to walk into centre for drinks meal etc. Good for dog walks.
