Nice to visit the chateau, great views of the city and to view da Vinci's burial site. Once you are finished with your tour, there is a nice wine tasting room in which to taste and buy wine. No charge for tasting and prices are reasonable.

Make sure you pay for the audio tour and that you go first thing in the morning before the bus tours arrive. The audio tour gives you the full story, even including the beautiful gardens.
Fortunately we came here on a beautiful day, and it was the first Chateau in the Loire that we had viewed.

Beautiful and picturesque. Great garden, great view, great view of the kings and queens lives, love the history.
Interesting mix of chateau, gardens and history (well explained). More there to see/learn than we were expecting. Not as beautiful as some, nor stunning gardens, but a good mix

Don't miss the St. Hubert Chapel where you will see Leonardo da Vinci's...

The history is amazing and has been well kept and preserved for us to see. The grounds are lovely and the chateau provides good opportunity for views across the town.
We visited the Chateau and the highlight of the trip was the quaint chapel that included the tomb of Leonardo da Vinci.
The Chateaux at Amboise is absolutely stunning. Yes, I know....seen one Chateaux, you've seen them all....but this is simply lovely and exceedingly well maintained. On the freezing day that we visited, there was even the biggest log fire you've ever seen, blazing away in one of the huge grates....there were flowers everywhere, and the rooms were so beautifully maintained. The...
