lovely and fascinating place to visit but a bit pricey on the entrance fee. Unfortunately we chose a terrible day to go and were completely soaked walking round the gardens but we still enjoyed it. What we didn't enjoy was the snotty little madam serving us in the pancake cafe who felt put out that she had to serve us... More

Sadly overrun with school children during our visit, the house is relatively small and in need of work but quite interesting to see. The basement houses a variety of technical models and displays of da Vinci's scientific creations. In the garden, there are some life-sized models of the same, as well as a small lake, a variety of walking paths,... More

I went so I can now say I went. The house is of a comfortable size to allow a pleasant tour without boredom. I liked the painting of Francis I comforting Leo on his deathbed. The basement is all sketches and models of his inventions. The gardens have life size models of his inventions…well some were inventions, but let’s be... More

This is the place Leonardo da Vinci spent the last three years of his life and there is an attempt to recreate their look in the Renaissance period. Even better are the displays of the drawings of Leonardo's inventions and the models that have been made of them. Outside in the park the models are even better as they are... More

I didn't know much about this before we went. The gardens were beautiful and we loved the small and large models of Leonardo's creations.

Clos Luce is mixture of Chateau and museum. it has over 40 models built by Da Vinci. It has excellent film clips demonstrating how some off the ore complicated inventions worked. The garden is modest but beautiful. This is for all ages!

As the title says, it was a nice and pleasant surprise for us and our 21 and 22 year old. Was raining so we didn't see much of the grounds, but the models of da Vinchi's inventions were really fun to see. It's really amazing how far ahead he was in his thinking. And as someone else said, we had... More

The rooms were lovely as were the surrounding grounds. Very informative as to Leonardo's relationship with Francis I and Leonardo's various inventions.

We refused to pay 18 euro for this! They need to drop the price. The grounds and building are beautiful, so we did view these, but wished we could have seen the displays inside. Only school children, who have a very reduced rate, can afford this.

I wasn't aware that da Vinci had spent the last three years of his life in the Loire Valley but I'm pleased he did. The chateau isn't huge and the most interesting parts are where they have exquisitely reproduced in miniature many of da Vinci's inventions. Beside each of them, they have videos running, showing how they worked. They have... More
