We visited the museum and also the exposition of Napoleon from 1792 - 1812. There was the added bonus of a military ceremony in the central courtyard, with a number of service men and women being decorated. The military music was great. We visited most of the exhibitions, taking all afternoon. Les Invalides with its huge display of uniforms, weaponry,...

Current Napoleon exhibition is very good, and not expensive. Amazing to see his tunic worn at Trafalgar
My husband and I really like Les Invalides, with its emphasis on military history over the last several centuries. It's good that France recognizes a truly amazing man, and forego's the sadly-held common view...

Highly recommend. A very impressive collection of armory and weaponry. Right now there is a well laid out and designed section about the life and work of Charles De Gaulle. The presentation is quite good.
Fell asleep in high school when we studied Napoleon, in a few short hours I understood more what a profound impact he had on the world. The tomb is breathtaking, and the Musee d'Armee astounding! You spend hours walking with translator in hand but you will not realize the time passing by. Everything so beautiful maintained. The history so well presented and saved
Big army museum with exhibits from the world wars. You could spend forever in here. It's a nice change after looking at art all day.
The Cathedral and Napoleon's tomb are an amazing sight. The Musee de l'Armee is also very interesting, and has several programmes running, among them de Gaulle and Napoleon exhibitions. If you like museums, this is well worth a visit.
Les Invalides sits in a beautiful area of Paris. The Army museum with Napoleon's tomb is part of this building. The only reason we went there was to see the tomb.
