We were there whilst a trio using ancient instruments were doing their soundcheck for a concert later in the day. What a glorious accompaniment. This is a must for anyone interested in the moyen age. La dame with her unicorn is currently away being mended, but the museum is still worth a visit. Loved it.

This was the one museum we visited in Paris that was not packed with tourists. Admittedly we were there early in the day, so not only were the crowds down, but we were fresh as well. The centerpiece was the collection of Unicorn Tapestries, and they are beautifully presented. Even with school children coming in and out, it was still... More

Lovely museum in a medieval old abbey. Stainglass section is wonderful as are the tapestry. Unfortunately the Maiden and Unicorn tapestry were on a visit to Japan (May 2013) you may want to check before you visit. Worth a visit regardless.

if you are a history fan, you just have to come here. They have lots of beautiful Bibles of middle ages plated with gold and precious stones of an amazing technique! Plus there are many real and interesting pieces of knit's armor. AND they have concerts of middle age music and it is really impressive!

This was definitely a find. It's in the Latin Quarter and looks like a mid evil manor. Definitely well thought out and easy to navigate. The staff are friendly, but some places you aren't allowed to take pictures.

I personally liked this museum because I am a history buff and loved learning about Paris in the middle ages. It is most interesting because it rests on one of the ancient ruins of Paris. If you like this one, a visit to the catacombs should be next!

With a vaste collection of tapestries, stained glass, jewelery and other very nice objects from the middle ages, this museum is worth visiting. The exterior and interior of the building are very beautiful. I loved the wooden showcases, which put in value the museum and its collections. The audioguide is included in the ticket price and for those under 26... More

This is a lovely museum and can easily be appreciated in just a few hours. Perfect for those on a time limit, it is also free to the under 26's, so wonderful for the young on a budget.

It is much smaller than I thought. We were sad to have missed the Lady and Unicorn, but the rest was pretty awesome. The Cluny is a can't miss if you like the history of the Middle Ages.
