Although considered touristy by some TA posters, we thoroughly enjoy strolling about Saint Germain, window shop, making a purchase or two often in Le Bon Marche, and enoy many of its charming cafes.

We walked around for what seemed forever but was 3 how really... lots of quaint shops and antique places.
Located across the street from the Louvre, we happened upon this church. All of the churches in Paris are beautiful so that was a given. Small, but peaceful.
My family and I lived in St Germain des Près for seven years. It is a livey suburb with easy walking access to many universities and outstanding museums.
Musée d'Orsay, Louvre and many others on the "rive droite" are within walking distance. Historic buildings pervade St Germain.
The quintessencial suburb of "Marais" is not far as well. Accessing these places...

In this area you will find people from all over the world. Locals outfitted in the latest fashions going to work or just taking a stroll. Walk along the streets of Boulevard St-Germaine, Rue de...

I like St Germain area. It's full of shops, restaurants and bars. There's also a metro and many tourists live here because it's safe.
Meandering around the streets here is great fun - even on a Sunday when we were here when many shops are shut. It was a bustling place with street musicians and cafes galore. Tres chic!

We stayed in this area and it was a never ending window shopping experience between the clothes and the patiserees. So convenient to everything including three metro stops.
We rented an apartment at 73 Blvd Saint-Germain. This location is perfect. Wonderful shopping... both high-end and souvenir shopping. Easy access to Metro, buses, taxi's.. taxi-stand, by the way does by no means say there are any drivers in the taxi's!!
