The basilica has recently undergone major restoration work and is a joy to visit. Good information leaflets are provided in several languages. The stain glass windows are beautiful as is the stonework. Give yourself plenty of time for this visit.

Largest Romanesque church, brick outside, beautiful shades of pink stone inside. Try to avoid focusing on the garish ornamentation added later, to capture the powerful simplicity of the romanesque style. It's pre-gothic so don't expect stained glass. I would have gotten more out of the crypt entry had I rented the audio guide recommended by others, but I didn't see it offered.
Only a 5-10 minute walk from the Capitole, but worth visiting. The architecture and colouring of the exterior stonework is lovely to see.
It's not just another Basilica. This church is rich in history, just walking through it and touching the walls gave me goose bumps. Well worth a visit
From the outside the church looks very big, but inside is rather austere and narrow. This is obviously because of the Romanesque style. For some reason the pillars inside are covered 66% by what seem to be rugs. All identical with an eagle motif on them. A disappointing visit and not very long.
Restored to its former glory. The entry fee to the Crypt is a must as the displays here are amazing.
The church is very large, and its lighted tower looks great at night. However, the interior does not stand up well in comparison with the other fine churches in Toulouse.
The ambulatory chapels and crypts are a must-see. The reliquary chapels are unique and exceptional. The two layered crypt is also interesting.
A grand, well preserved example of a church in Romanesque style, which preceded the Gothic period. The day we visited some young nuns of an unknown order sang sweetly for around an hour in the late morning. Hauntingly beautiful harmony and solos. A beautiful moment in time in an unforgettable setting.
