Unllke most French churches, this is a wooden structure -- and uniquely attractive for that reason. Right in the heart of town and often surrounded by a nice outdoor market, this is not something to miss if you are on foot in Honfleur.

Honfleur centre is expected to be beautiful and quaint, but also boasts incredible architecture with wonderful boutique shops, artisan venders and an atmosphere that just has to be experienced. The quality and complexity of joinery within the church still never ceases to amaze me, especially as all was done before the age of Makita, Dewalt and Bosch!

Small local cathedral, wood construction. Visited on Market Day in the adjoining square. Interesting to pop inside and have a quick look but nothing particularly outstanding.

A great wood cathedral with columns running down the central aisle, effectively giving it two congregations. Very historic and atmospheric.

Individual architecture, I've never seen a church like it. Wooden construction with local timber and boat building skills, no wonder it's so different. They have some lovely stained glass too. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely wood built church. Has a great ambience and warm feeling on entering. Unlike any other church I have been in. You can definately feel the warm atmosphere which comes from it being made of wood and not stone.Free entry. The clock tower is separate from the church itself. Clock tower costs 2 Euros for entry.

We spent more time in this church than we have in many great cathedrals. It was simple yet extraordinary. A warm feel due to the use of timber and obviously well used by the community. There were some lovely children's tapestries on display and the feeling of being in an upturned boat was quite different.

This quaint church differs from the numerous others we have visited, simply because it is made of timber, not marble and stone. Another review said the roof resembled the bottom of a boat and I would have to agree. Nice windows, in a central location.

I have visited churches in many places around the world, but I have never seen anything like St Catherine's Church. The use of timber throughout is amazing, a lovely feeling of warmth in the house of God, no cold stone. You must visit St Catherine's Church.
