If you get up there and the weather is not great and you have nothing better to do, the visit is worthwhile!
The panoramic view is well worth the climb (how cliche), so go all the way to the top of the tower. The bay filled with yachts and ships with the Promenade La Crosiette presents an image classic to the French Riviera.
I found the museum interesting in its archival collections of artifacts brought to France from remote regions of the...

Try to aim to climb up here towards late afternoon. There are some well organized pieces from thousands of years ago-more than one would expect in a small, local museum. Then come back out, just as the sun starts to set, for the most wonderful view of the bay.
I you are staying in Niece take a bus #200 to Cannes for 1Euro. If you are not far from the promenade, the bus stops there. Without traffic it would take approximately 1 hour. You can take a train from Nice to Cannes for $6.50Euros or even more; it depends on the train.

The displays are exceptional especially those from the Pacific Islands. Make sure you have a bite before going there and bring a bottle of water with you as there is no restaurant or cafe there as it is an uphill walk. You should go up the 200 odd stairs after visiting the museum to get the beautiful views of Cannes.
This is a wonderfully eclectic museum based on a couple of private collections that were donated some 100 years ago. We found the pieces from the artic most interesting and also the collections from the Pacific islands. Don't forget to go up the tower. The views are worth the climb.
The museum is interesting and the grounds are nice. It is inexpensive and if you have been to Cannes a lot it makes for a nice change/addition. The setting of Le Suquet is really what makes it.

The walk to the castle is of course all uphill but well worth the effort. The views over the town and surrounding area are...

Get out of the hustle and bustle of waterfront Cannes and check out this really good museum. Not only are the exhibits good but the views from the tower are awesome. After you are done check out the church next door. Also the hill side between the museum is full of great shops and unique dining.
