I am not the best to judge a Chagall museum. I can say that it is quite little and I didn't like it. But hey, that's me. We ended up having lunch there, there is a place inside the compound. The lunch is worth a visit to the museum. And if you go there, say hello to the pet Westie... More

The garden and water feature. The paintings. Informative audio commentary in English. Finding out more about Chagall, particularly his religious symbolism.

In a lovely setting, just a short uphill walk from the main street, there is so much to see that we spent most of the afternoon there, after a light lunch in the garden cafe. There is a useful biographical film in the concert room, which I wish we had watched first, as we learnt a lot about Chagall's life... More

very nice museum built with Chagalls input. Audioguide is free and excellent. There is a film which is also good but you have to wend your way through to find it and no one tells you about it. Also see the mosaic. OK to take photos Chagall did sereval series of religious works which are important in understanding him as... More

Easily accessible by local bus, you can expect to stay a few hours looking at main exhibit of Biblical art, in addition to many other Chagall works of art.

They would not give us the tape things to listen to the commentary without a passport or driving licence. How daft is that ? There are millions of people in the world who have neither of these.

This museum holds one of Chagall's most beautiful series of paintings, the Message Biblique. They are seventeen huge paintings, both in size and expression, showing some of the most significative moments described in the Bible, from the Noah's Ark to the Sacrifice of Isaac. Its a unique experience to see classical scenes portrayed in modernist style and not losing their... More

What a joy. I know the work of Chagall most of my life and as part of my Fine Arts degree. But, the architecture and works are so beautifully presented. You can sit and contemplate your favorite works and get lost in the work. Fine theatre showing documentaries.

We had planned to window shop on sunday, but found that all the shops close on sunday (how lovely, more cities should take time off like this). So instead we wandered up to the marc chagall museum. Be sure to get the audio guide because it really brings meaning to his paintings, and unlike some audio guides, it isn't too... More
