Unforgettable experience, a panoramic city views. Reach it was simply I didn't have any car and from the Vieux-Port (Old Harbour) leaves every 30 minutes a bus that connects the port to the ''Basilique'' at a truly affordable journey it takes about 30 minutes to reach the top of the hill. From here you are walking through a staircase that... More

Worth the trip up to the church to see it's unusual and colorful interior and the pictures on the walls... and the amazing views over Marseille. If you visit one place during your visit - it must be this

It's necessary to take a bus up to this church, but it's worth the trip. The views of the city and surrounding areas, and of the sea, are stunning on a clear and sunny day. The building itself is attractive - not very old looking on the outside, but inside it feels like it could be 1000 years old (though... More

Ornate decoration and interesting history and associations. Felt virtuous but exhausted having climbed countless steps up the back way from Abbaye St. Victor, only to find coach loads of tourists who had come up by road. Fantastic views all around. Pity about the Radio interview and so many tourists inside making it feel rather irreverent.

This church lies on top of a hill from which you have an amazing view over the whole city and the sea!! The church itself is very beautiful, the interior impressive! We took a small sightseeing train (departing at the vieux port) for 8€ per person. The trainride to go there takes approx. 45mins, goes a longer way along the... More

what a great time we had , climbing the hill to this beautiful church. It was a real workout and then you get 360 degrees of eye candy plus go through old streets, it is a must!
