We stayed in Chamonix at a wonderful B&B named La Vert en Blanc...an authentic renovated 4 half star traditional ski lodge..so welcoming and cosy, only 10 rooms, very friendly and reasonable with breakfast included...we awoke to a beautiful clear autumn day and decided to take the trip of a lifetime up the cable car l'aiguille du midi...it was totally worth...

I went to Chamonix in January 2009. The city is actually beautiful and walking in the middle of city is striking for people who live in big cities, but it's really expansive. I enjoyed it
Amazing place. We came here as part of our travels to find work.

Visited Chamonix for New Years Eve and had a wicked time. Great snow, Amazing weather (bluesky everyday), picturesque town and great vibes all around. Cant recommend it enough, its got everything you need and more for a decent week in the mountains. Oh and visit the Monkey Bar for good burgers and fun times.

Dave the owner was very welcoming and the Barstaff were excellent even joining in with the shots ! The bands are great with a special mention to the Piste Boys who played a song...

An hour by bus from Chamonix
One of the most expensive lift tickets in the Alps
Toilets designed to be the most inaccessible possible
Bottom Lift
Disastrous car park situated downhill of the ski lifts ensuring a long walk in ski boots
Ancient...

For many years this was my favorite playground as climber with so many good and strong memories from the world of snow and ice as well as warm granite. What...
