They don't open till 9am so no point in doing the 8.30 start. Good service not much waiting around. Pass needs to be on left side as normal

Arrived after long wait for a bus in the centre of own. Met with a HUGE queue but in fairness staff were very informative and explained there was at least an hour delay.
We have skied in Chamonix for years but we do not often ski this resort. We arrived late at around 9.30am ( children slow you down in the morning!)but still managed to find a free parking space but then were rewarded with a 45 minute wait for the old cable car ! We were packed in like sardines in an ancient cable car with little to hang onto apart from each other.
I live in Geneva and have skiied in Chamonix and Argentiere many times but never from the Flegere parking lot. Drive through Chamonix towards Argentiere and it is up to the left inbetween Chamonix and Argentiere. The parking lot was wide open at 9:30 and is free. the Caisse and cable car are right there. Long waits to get up the mountain (45 mins), intermediate runs were pretty sleep and powdery. None of the maps were working, so had no idea where to go

It's worth going to Le Lac Blanc as if you are as lucky as we are, you'll see marmots,...

Flegere is very good place for skiing, not as good as Grande Montets, but really worth visiting, could recommend it.
Came down on this on our return from a days hiking. Was a bit crammed in as it was only 30 minutes before the last cable car down. However, it does its job and you will need to use it if you don't want to walk down!
