I spent over five hours walking this zoo. It's big and there were animals that I have never seen before. Some of the water tanks really did need some heavy cleaning but I really enjoyed the one on one with the animals and getting to see them up close. It was neat to see the feeding of the tiger and... The zoo is easily reached by public transport from the city centre and is approx. 20 mins away by bus (probably quicker!) The zoo is well laid out and spaced out. I particularly liked the enclosed environment for the manatees and the other tropical species. If your kids enjoy zoos then you can't really go wrong with this one.

This is by far one of the nicest zoos we've been to. Kid friendly, little parks and restaurants throughout the zoo. Fair warning: it's hilly, so expect to do some walking uphill. Do not skimp and miss the dolphin show, it's so much fun, especially for the little ones.

Nuremberg’s Zoo, also known as Tiegarten Nuremberg, is a peaceful place to stroll around and spend a few hours while in Nuremberg. The Zoo layout is great and makes for a great display for the animals without necessary having to put a fence between us and the wildlife in many cases. That meant that we got to take pictures for... Each time in Nuremberg I do my best to spend a day in the zoo. So beautiful, so clean, so many animal species, animals are well fed and well kept. All in a wonderful park. You can also see any animal at its lunch, all feeding times are written on a special board.Tropical House (the lamantines house) is my favourite.... More

I went with my family of 5 and we had a great time. The animal's enclosures are anything but! There is every kind of animal you could think of and it's nicely landscaped with beautiful flowers. The facilities are clean and organized. People are friendly, but not all can speak English. There is a huge, awesome playground for kids of... More

This isn't the greatest zoo, but it's nice enough for a family outing or just walking around enjoying the animals.

With my 7 y.o. kid I travel a lot and visit all ZOOs everywhere. We liked Nuremberg Zoo so much! It looks like a real part of natural forest, because it's located in the park. The main attraction are 2 young polar bears, about 2 years old, they live with mother. They are so active and joyful, we spent more... More
