Another gem of Nuremberg, the church sits to the side of the market place where the famous Christmas and Easter Markets are held, it is like no other I have seen before. The design with its pointed front steeples make it much different from other churches I have seen. Be sure to catch the animated figures that come out and... More

This church is located in the open market. It is well worth walking around and stopping to watch the glockenspiel. There is also another set of statues in the area and a ring to turn for luck.

Famous church in Nuremberg Hauptmarkt facing the Beautiful Fountain. Probably best known for its Glockenspiel which plays at noon with an entertaining march of historical figures around the clock. Not particularly ornate inside, but some lovely Gothic leadlight windows. Worth a look.

On the floor, in a cave on the wall, lighting a candle and making a offering is an experience in this church during the holidays.

If you like churches, then this is for you. It is not an unusual, memorable church but is worth a look in.

Impressive structure now restored to its former glory. Another church to visit with a past going back hundreds of years.

This is a beatiful church that is open to the public to view except when is mass is being celebrated. The church is beautiful as a piece of architecture, but I went back on a quiet Monday morning for the mass and it was a lovely experience, despite my lack of German. It also houses the Glockenspiel which is one... More

Went to Sunday Mass here during a recent visit to Nuremberg and it was a memorable experience, being able to sit and attend Mass while enjoying the surrounding art. It was initially mostly attended by older locals, but soon filled up with many tourists. There isn't too much else to do in the Altstadt on a Sunday morning. Church was... More

The church is built on the site of a synagogue destroyed in a pogrom during the middle ages. The interior is damp and dusty, but the art work is well described in German and English.
