Its just a square but it's nice to chill and sit in one corner. Nothing extraordinary but I still suggest to come and check it. More

This squared was marked like the real downtown attraction of the city but I was highly disappointed....it's just a square with very recently renovated buildings (it feels like Disneyland or the Universal Studios!) unappealing restaurants and bars and nothing to do. From the square you can walk to the main shopping streets, but once again nothing impressive. I didn't have... More

Unless you have read about the significance of this site before you go to see it then I would suggest taking a guide book because there is no signage to explain what the buildings or areas are about More

We flew from DFW to Frankfurt and this was our first taste of Germany and Europe in general. We later saw actual medival buildings in Limburg and Trier but this was a good start (these buildings are reproductions - most of Frankfurt was destroyed in WW2). More

Frankfurt’s market square was the birthplace of the city, where the first trade fairs were held in the 12th century. What is impressive is to note that the cute row of half timbered homes were rebuilt in 1983 - the square was completely destroyed in World War II. More
