The Herrenhausen Gardens are absolutely beautiful. The Gardens are divided into a variety of gardens types. Great art and fountains are to be found at this place. While I was there in the fall and there was little gardens to be seen, it was still worth it.

Very spacious formal gardens which were a part of the Royal Palace where the Elector of Hannover lived.

Must see is the (yearly) Firework World Championship, otherwise just a regular park for a nice walk.

I was lucky enough to stay beside the gardens and it really is a special place to visit. The gardens are beautifully laid out and awash with colour and the fountains just make it extra special. In the summertime, there are fabulous fireworks at night making this a truly special place not to be missed!

Easy to get to by tram from the centre. I only visited the gardens (free in winter) and could appreciate how fabulous they are in summer. Many beautiful statues throughout.
