I didn't go in but the Rathaus itself is big and beautiful. The surrounding area was extremely beautiful as well. Green was everywhere and would be perfect for a morning or afternoon walk.

The city hall (Neues Rathaus) is a must visit place in Hannover. Next to the Maschteich and Maschsee it offers great opportunities to take amazing pictures from outside. The entrance hall has 4 3D models of different periods (current,1939, 1945 and 16xx). If you look up and down the hall you will be very impressed. There are many details and...

Beautiful architecture and nice view from the top of the tower to see hanover and understand it more. It's strongly recommended but better to have your GF/BF with you i found it really romantic up there for some reason!
It happen to be that I was there in the same day of the queen of England's BD, and they where...

Great 3d models of the city through the ages. Lift up to the tower is fab and the view is amazing. Great location by the river, you can't miss it
Visiting this historical building that survived the war with interesting. Able to see the whole town from the very top using a kinda different elevator.

Great way to learn the history of Hannover while also gleaning current wonderful views of the city - the elevator is worth paying for the quick jaunt to the top
While the building is impressive outside and in, the 4 historical diagrams of the city as it existed at various points is also worth studying. Of course it helps you appreciate the destruction of WWII, but its also interesting to see how the city developed over several hundred years.
This building is awsome. Very nice arquitecture.
4 models inside the building that show the city as it was in 1689, 1933, 1945 and today. Very interesting.
Also you can't miss the lift to the tower with the glass floor. Follows the shape of the dome.
When you are at the top you will have awsome views of the entire...

I attended an event here and was amazed at how beautiful this building was. Great pre-War & post-War maps of Hanover spanning 100 years. Worth a quick peak.
