in an easy way without problems of traffic, you can travel. Brings you to Operahouse and other theatres. a pity it closes already at 23 hrs.

I love the Schwebebahn. It's one of the things that makes living in Wuppteral so much fun. Both a good local transport mode and a tourist attraction. Long live the Schwebebahn.
Went on the schwebebahn, flying train, yesterday, we went on the bangers & beer Kaiser special, 11am on Sundays, if you book early enough, you get a round trip, about 1 hour, a bottle of beer and a German sausage sandwich plus a commentary about the train, unfortunately in German! I think it was €21.50 per person, a bit of...

The symbol of Wuppertal with no doubts!! You must take a ride in the Schwebebahn. In the beginning it might be a bit scary if you're afraid of heights but overall very interesting experience. There is the lovely story about the elephant that fell down from the Schwebebahn! They painted a picture of it in the place where she fell....

It was the first time i ever saw this Schwebebahn, I would say it is a great experience going around in this monorail because from above you can see the streets, below is the river or channel and of course a lot of the city. It is very possible to see the houses a little higher since these are located...

One of the most interesting city transport experiences around, this hanging monorail swings out as it round curves, making moving around the carriage while under the influence quite a challenge. It's also quick, clean and reliable.
If you are staying in Wuppertal you should take a ride with the Schwebebahn. Buy yourself a ticket and ride from end of Wuppertal to the next. Of course its only in the valley but you will get a quite good impression of Wuppertal. Its not a nice city but you see the first plant of Bayer because Bayer was...

Weird and wonderful. Thank you Richard, and Michael Portillo. A strange experience, swinging along, suspended from a monorail above streets and the Wupper River. Odd to step onto a platform from a train that swings. A must for railway-lovers. A really-should for everyone else.
Definitely worth making a trip on th eBan even if you don't really have anywhere to go! It's the best way to travel through the length of the city. Try to get a seat at the front of the carriage if you are able but dress up warmly if travelling in winter.
You can also hire the historic carriages for...

One of a kind and when you think how long ago it was built, it is amazing. Very similar to Disney World monorail which we use to think impressive but this was built 70 years before that. Cool to be over the river the whole time.
