While wandering at night, we heard singing and followed it to end up here. A hundred or so people were gathered dancing traditional group dances to music performed by a few musicians and accompanied by a children's choir. Catalonia at its finest!

Ok, to sit in one of the bars can be expensive, to eat is quite ordinary, but the atmosphere in the square, just off La Ramblas is wonderful.
Sit beside the fountain, and watch and listen to the buskers or street sellers or just people watch if you don't want to use a bar. Or choose the bar on the...

yes! Its a very very turistic place. Its close to the ramblas avenue and its in the gothic area heart. Its not a good place to eat and drik, there is a lot of tourist menu, that is expensive and not tastaful. You can go to take some pictures and feel the Gothic vibe.
The Plaça del Rei was located centrally from our hotel and will forever live in the memory for me and my partner. The architecture is brilliant and at night the square has an eerily magical and romantic feel to it.

This is a magical place where history seems to have stopped since the medieval times. Ocasionally holds musical events. Muhba is also based in the area...
A skyscraper from the Romanic period, can you believe it? This square and some streets behind the cathedral, by the moonlight, with your love it's a very romantic walk
Beatifully preserved area with roman baths worthwhile to see. Nearby the old part of the city (walking distance).
Another good Plaça in Barcelona. Live, with a lot of people doing things there: eating, shopping. This little comment has already more than 50 characters.
I would recommend this to anyone visiting Barcelona, it was an informative an interesting part of our visit
