Went to the Plaza de Toros las Ventas and then to the Bullfight and found it to be a wonderful cultural experience. The Museum is dusty and dark but never the less showed some of the memorabilia of the time when Bullfighting was at it's peak and it's grandure. The Toreros clothing is on display and is beautiful but I... More

This museum is to the rear of the bull ring and could be missed. This is a small museum but well laid out and obviously very important to the Spanish. It's also free to go in although the bull ring itself is 9 euros each

I loved this, it was one of the best tours I took in Madrid. The guide was so passionate about the subject, she made it all the more interesting. I liked it so much, that I considered returning, but time did not allow me to do this. I recommend whether you are a fan or not!

Entry is normally 25 euros for a 40 minute tour and entry to the museum, but as they were dismantling the temporary roof from a rock concert it was reduced to 9 euros. This made it good value for money but the downside was the sand and main arean was covered by the partially dimantled roof (we knew this before... More

To visit out of season is really interesting in the respect that you can't believe bullfighting still continues here. It looks exactly as you see it in books or tv and I found it unbelievable. The audio tour explains everything very clearly and tries to justify the killing of the bull by saying they have come from lovely meadows etc... More

When looking for things to do in Madrid, we decided to go to the Bullfighting Stadium. Perhaps we were tired and did not look hard enough but we did not find the museum. We paid for a very basic tour that took one inside the stadium. The cost was ~$10/person. The picture above is NOT the museum. Upon further reading,... More

Don't miss the museum, the tour of Las Ventas or the bull fights. You will experience an important cultural event. Best if you read and undertand something before visiting your first bull fight but worth inventing a little time for the education.

My husband and I thought we would love to attend a bull fight in Spain to experience the Spanish culture. We had booked out tickets ahead in South Africa. The ceremonial introductions with the trumpets and the excitement of the Spaniards was great. It was also very interesting to see the lovely costumes of the Matadors and to see their... More

Many people when visiting madrid are interested in learning something about the "Toros" and bullfighting in Spain. The museum is public and free...ok...but then it's just a sad and dusty collection of items (mainly donations), many portraits and scultures of bullfighters, few heads of toros, few documents and few costumes. No explanations what so ever on the bullfighting it-self, the... More
