The park is relaxing and a welcomed reprieve from the crowds. A lot of dogs with plenty of room to frolic.

Anyone should go to Giardini Margherita. Anyone in Bologna should go there. BRING BREAD OR OTHER FOOD TO FEED TO TURTLES, CARP AND THE SMALL FISH! Very nice café (Chalet) in the park. Giardini Margherite is a large, lovely public park a bit outside the historical center. There are large grassy expanses, which the Bolognese use for sun-bathing, among other things. There is a brook that runs through the park, populated with many turtles. Very relaxing and peaceful place. Wonderful people watching.
