Fantastic panoramic view of Como and lake Como from the top. Enjoyed cool drink from cafe next to funicular, but food not so special.

Great panorama of the south leg of the lake and surrounding area, but need to take a bit of a hike to enjoy the view. Once you reach the top, take a left and a 15 minute walk or so along the ridge will take you a good view point. Follow the signs for "sightseeing." Restaurants near the top funicular... More

My favourite excursion! The views from the top of the railway are immense. You can see the frosted tops of the alps amongst other natural beauties.

The trip on the Funicula Railway was excellent and well worth €5.25 return. Try to get into the leading car coming down for the super views. I agree with other reviewers - don't use the restaurant by the top arrival point. My wife wanted to buy an ice cream but all three staff were busy chatting and ignored her so... More

Superb inclined railway, short trip to the top, and the village of Brunate at the top with shopping, etc. was cute! Although it was a bit hazy the afternoon we went up, the views were great, and the price...I think it was 5-6e each!!! So reasonable! Lighthouse, and several other attractions were just a short hike from the top!

Absolute must do regardless of the weather. Walking through Brunate is like a walk through a movie set. The views across Lago di Como are not to be missed.

For 5 euros each the round trip was good value for money. Lovely views of the lake on the way up if like us you got the lower carriage. When at the top we took the 2.5 km steep rough mule track to the lighthouse, for even more stunning views.
