Its a very open place and a nice walk. The local cafes are very inviting. Also very easy to get to by tram
This university is located beside the Basilica of Saint Ambrogio in Milan. We happened upon it by accident and strolled through the interior cloisters observing students and enjoying the sunshine shining through the trees. A very pleasant spot. (Subway stop: San Ambrogio on the Green Line)
We entered in this university to visit the campus and we eventually stopped there to contemplate the cloisters and the students, thinking how lucky they are to study in such a beautiful place so rich in history!
I love the courtyards of this university. Nearby, is the church of San Ambrogio - which is a nice place to visit if you're in Milan. If you stop by San Ambrogio, make sure to swing by Universita Cattolica and check out the pretty campus. But, this is not a must-see while visiting Milano.
We entered the campus by coincidence, but it was so welcoming!!! It reminded us our student times (many years ago). We bought some books in the bookstore, some sandwiches in the cafeteria and had our morning snack in the yard of the university campus. I felt like going back to studies again.
The Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore is the largest Catholic University in Europe and is a place well worth a visit. Other than being a lively place, full of students till late evening it hosts important works of art.
