Just a piazza, there are more spectacular ones elsewhere. I think it's better in the evening. Go buy yourself an expensive drink...very expensive...and listen to the music. By then all of the crowds will be at dinner.

I woke up early in the morning, so i could take photos of the sunrise, right in the middle of the empty square, and it was asbolutely worthwile! I almost had tears in my eyes, by the exquised beauty of the place!!!!!

One of those places which you always hoped to visit. Not quite as stunning as expected. Nonetheless I am glad I have finally visited and would recommend to visit on a sunny day.

Visited this place three times (there's not much else to see or do in Venice); during the day, during heavy rain and late at night. It was very busy.
