Make sure you pass by this square when strolling through the city. Around it all kind of historical building keep eachother upright, all worth a little side step of your route to see them. But surely come back to the square for a romantic dinner, we had ours at Cafe Dante.

Marvelous place which is also called Piazza Dante. It seems like you're locked in time centuries ago. Dante's monument reminds you of the importance of his legacy and his era which planted the seed of Europe culture. Palazzo di Cansignorio, Palazzo del Podestà and Loggia di Fra' Giocondo are the reminders of that.

Loved sitting on the base of one of the fountains and watching The life of Verona. The market stalls were very busy and we loved the fresh fruit bowl we devoured.

This piazza is further down from Piazza dell Erbe but it's quieter. I loved the Dante staue in the middle. Further down there are the Scagliero Tombs which one cannot miss.

Just off Piazza Erbe, this little piazza has the Dante statue, and just under the bridge, don't miss the old Maria church with the Scalia family tombs just outside. I loved this little church so much more than all the big churches and cathedrals we saw.

I visited the Piazza dei Signori with family in April. The buildings of the piazza provide lovely photo opportunities and it is a nice place to rest away from the crowds of the Piazza Erbe.

We didn't know much about the history of Verona but it was a wonderful sigh to visit during the short stay we had there.

Each and every time I come to Verona, I walk on and on Piazza dei Signori. This is the most attractive confined space of 'centro storice'. A giant diamond in the cage of other unique places of this perfect city.

Make sure you do not miss this square and take the time and trouble to walk through to this Piazza from the attached Piazza delle Erbe. It is quiter than Piazza dei Erbe and probably has more interesting archetechture and certainly history related to Verona. The square is dominated by the former city hall, the Loggia del Consiglio, and beyond... More

I am always humbled when I stand amidst such historical architecture. It's a great little square with some very nice restaurants with outside dining. A great place to people watch.
