Walk out of the city centre across the medieval bridge over the Adige river, scenic by itself, look back at the pretty facades, and then take the short, steep climb up to castle S Pietro towering high above. The views of the river, city and surrounding hills are amazing from the Castel San Pietro. The Castle itself is not the attraction here!

The castle is certainly more impressive from the city, you cannot read the graffitti and see the broken/ boarded up windows from there. A lovely restaurant is located right near the summit, i would recommend you stopped there...

You can take magnificant pictures from up here. It is quite the peaceful place. Very tranquil and a nice way to spend some quality picture taking!
