Love, love, love this place... it's rumored to be the largest indoor food market in Italy and a must see for any visitors to the South of Sardinia.
Upstairs is full of fruit, veg, cheeses, hams, bread and meat and I always spend a fortune and come away with bags overflowing with pecorino, wild boar prosciutto, courgette flowers and yellow...

An absolute MUST for every Cagliari visitor. Be sure to go tues to sat mornings until 13hrs as the must-see fish market does not open on mondays. Great to walk through the overcrowded but secure aisles full of fresh fruit, vegetables and meat. Great deals just before the closing bell around 14hrs

We love to visit these marketplaces while in a mediterranean country and during a visit I always think 'too bad I don't have a good kitchen available here to start cooking with all these marvellous fresh ingredients!' and of course this was the case again in Cagliari!
