Very extensive catacombs and you get a guided tour included. Well worth a visit. Not to be missed and don't be afraid to ask questions.
my guide spoke good English and I have learnt a lot about! It was interesting but far from being a top attraction in Sicily. Go there if you have extra time to spare.
We stopped here on our way out of Syracuse and got the tour. Very interesting, informative and would recommend as a quick stop. It does not take long and a interesting way to wile away an hour or two in this nice town.

These catacombs are interesting but not spectacular. Visit if you have lots of time. In Piazza Duomo in Ortigia check if the underground area there is open. It was used as an air raid shelter and is worth visiting.
Loved this felt so much like stepping into history, underground and very good English speaking guide, well worth seeing as the others in Naples and Rome are maybe bigger but these were still vast
Miles and miles of underground catacoombs. Fascinating history and well-delivered tour by the tourguide. Well worth the price for the visit. Quite spooky and thought-provoking!
Our visit to the Catacombs of San Giovanni were such a surprise. We really didn't know what to expect but were blown away at the historical importance this site held. We appreciated the guided tour (ours was in English) that was included in the price of admission. Highly recommend seeing this upon your visit to Syracuse
I was talked into visiting this attraction by a friend - glad she did.
We had a guide to walk us through various sections of the catacombes. It was only a 30 minute tour and no photos are allowed to be taken once the tour commences.
Our guide should have been more fluent in the english language if they offer...
