The exhibitions at the Palazzo Strozzi are without equal. We have been to three in the last four years - all block busters. If you are in Florence this Spring/Summer, the exhibit on the beginnings of Renaissance sculpture is a must see!

Home of interesting exhibits. Really convenient location close to Il Duomo. Nicer interior than exterior arquitecture. Not a priority but worth the visit.
La Primavera del Rinaschimento (The Spring of the Renaissance), curated by Beatrice Paolozzi Strozzi, a descendent of the noble family, and Marc Bormand, opened recently. I just spent an afternoon of intense enjoyment walking through it. "The Springtime of the Renaissance" is the best special exhibit we have every seen. It was put on in conjunction with the Louvre in Paris and will move there in the fall of 2013. The assembled works were great, but it was the explanation of the development of art in Firenze at this time that was the most wonderful part.
This exhibition is outstanding tho I admit we are renaissance art buffs.
After the Florence show the exhibition travels to the Louvre.
Donatello is featured..Luca DellaRobia who was the first in terra cotta....the Ghiberti and Brunelleschi entries for the competition for the Baptistry doors....which would you have picked as the winner? It's a feast of Renaissance art and a must...it...

There were no exhibitions on so we visited the cafe on several occasions. It is in the courtyard of the palazzo so you can see the architecture & visit the shop. Fantastic place for dolce; wonderful tea etc. A;; beautifully served & presented.

Lovely Palace which has been divided in different sections. There's also a small beautiful coffee place inside. We had a chance to make a...

At the time we visited there was two exhibitions at Palazzo Strozzi.
An exhibition about the diversity of art in the 30'ties Italy. Very interesting - a lot of nice pieces describing the non- fascistic art of the period.
A second exhibition of the work of Francis Bacon was less our taste.
I was personally a little disappointed - not...
