This 900 year old castle has so much history... romance, plots to overthrow the Medici family, the papacy...It is amazing! The owners still live in this amazing place, despite no central heat, but it is so beautiful and historic I felt honored even to be there for five hours. Our Marriott Vacation Club group visited earlier this month, getting the... More

So glad we decided to add in the wine tasting here as part of our limited time in Florence. We had 7 people, so opted for the Castello to pick us up and take us to the hillside location. We heard about the history of the place, which was very interesting with the Medici and Pazzi families, and then had... More

Me and my wife Hege Oddan were looking for a place in Italy to get married, and in October last year we found this place. And we are so happy that we did! Castello del Trebbio was so kind to invite us down on beforehand to have a look at the place. They let us stay there for two nights... More

Castello del Trebbio was a fantastic experience! Alberto was our guide; he told us the story of the castle, which was funny and very informative. We learned about Chianti and super Tuscans and learned a lot about olive oil which was great added bonus. We had our cooking class which was so fun and 'Mama' was hilarious. Made a couple... More

After a few days of viewing galleries and museums in the centre of Florence, a trip to Castello Del Trebbio in the heart of Tuscany was what we needed to unwind. Went on the wine-tasting tour (booked through Viator) from Florence and sampled the Chianti and Extra Virgin Olive Oil that is produced there. The lovely tour guide Sylvia told... More

Went on a wine your and stopped her for a tour of the castle to include the wine and the olive oil making. Great history and beautiful views. Loved the wine so I bought 3 cases and some oil.

Catello del Trebbio was the residence of the famous Pazzi family who tried to kill Lorenzo de Medici (the magnificent). The story of the castle is simply fabulous and also the wine cellars which you can visit also. There are 5 hours tours that you can book from Florence that includes a wine tasting session at the castle combined with... More

I recommend taking a tour of the Uffizi, but allow enough time to do some wandering on your own. The tour will explain a few of the paintings but it leaves much, much left unsaid. Allow several hours for this, take your time and enjoy. Look for the Di Vinci's especially, they are spectacular.

We were taken to the Castle as part of a Trafalgar Tour. Not having high expectations, I think we were all blown away. The history, which was as entertaining as the person (Silvia) telling it had us all enthralled. The dinner was very tasty and their wine was delicious. We tried two varieties and liked both very much. The olive... More
