This was terrifice at all hours. There was signing in the evening revival style in the evening. There was a convention of authors and a colombian artist exhibit that i was not keen on, but added an interesting twist to the events there. This is a happening place.

I was there at the right time - this area settled nicely in the piazza to entice with the richness of the land - the Piazza offers an area where you can chill, shop and watch.

Like Assisi itself, the Piazza del Commune is lively and ambiental place, surrounded with interesting medieval buildings. Also, there are lot of cafes and restaurants around it. The square is a great place to grab a piece of pizza and sit on the steps or fountain and people watch.. It can be quiet in the summer because of no students or events..July Umbrian Jazz festival it is packed.

Lovely lively square- all roads lead to it. Families, children, dogs making the passegiata. Boy meets girl. You could sit for hours and people watch.

Lovely architecture, fountain - and a wonderful underground museum where you can walk on the original Roman road beneath the current one.

After a good meal, time to sit out around the piazza enjoying a last cup of coffee, a beer or glass of wine. Terrific way to unwind and prepare for a relaxing night. A great place to watch people!

This is the main piazza of Assisi. It was nice, but nothing spectacular. I loved Assisi!
