this is a very steep area of assisi also going to bus park lots of steps very expensive mind the traffic

If you are in Assisi it is very likely that you will walk along this pleasant street, as it links several of the main attractions, including the Church of St Clare and the Basilica of St Francis. Cobbled main street that leads from the top end of Assisi and Piazza del Comune down to St Francis basilica. Lots of shops and hotels along this winding steep narrow road.

I review Via San Francesco, but this review goes for the whole Assisi. Great medieval town, with nearly all the houses built in stone. Assisi is much more than the Basilica. 5 stars.
