Vast collections perfectly organized! Easy to understand. Also - admission tickets are free!! (exception in this strange Europe). Provides overall and good overview on the nature history (from many views). Audio_video presentations easy to start and look.

It's worth going to the Natural History Museum if you're in the neighborhood and have nothing else to do for an hour or two. But its an awfully mediocre museum compared to those you find in bigger cities, like London, Paris, New York, Washington, etc.

As a biologist I'm keenly aware of the scientific accuracy of the presentation. This museum is outstanding in this regard. Add to that the exhibits are bright and fresh-looking. Interactive displays actually work.

Good collection of exibits - nice to take your children to watch for it is quite varied, and the various animals are exposed with several poses which are sometimes quite catching.

Go on the first Sunday of the month when entry is free, but go early as the line gets very long. Good exhibit on the archeological history of the region but the display is only in French.

To anyone who is even a bit interested in the animals of our world, this will be a great place to spend some time in. We found it by accident at a beautiful hill overlooking the city and Lake Geneva, and we were amazed that the relatively old and inexpensive interior housed such a huge collection of all kinds of... Very good museum for families. You should set aside at least 3-4 hours. Most signs are in French only, but some parts have signs in German and English as well.

I particularly appreciate the geological presentation of Switzerland on some kind of a moving plateau on the top floor. Lots of information on planets, dinosaurs, minerals.

We visited this museum to pass the time on a rainy Winter's day, and since we are a family with two children it seemed like an appropriate thing to do. The museum is free, which we thought was a good choice, so we sort of just scanned through. There were large animal displays as well as a wide range of... More
