The caves in Maastricht are truly fascinating. Pieter, our tour guide, was an excellent storyteller.
Some of the people in our group had baby carriages, so accessibility isn't really an issue. Pieter took them along a route without stairs.
The cons are that the group size felt much too large and the length felt far too short. I could have...

No one should miss a chance to see the caves. You don't have to be a history buff to appreciate the courage and conviction that lived within the walls of the caves. You can't help but admire the strength of those who hid there as well as those who led them there to keep them safe. Remarkable.
This was a good way of spending a couple fo hours in flat Holland. Go underground where there was a hill! Yes a hill in Holland....
The caves in Maastricht are legendary and we took the English tour which involved
1. A lot of Dutch humour - very good
2. An explanation of why they are not too keen on...

We took the English guided tour of the north caves ( I think it is the only English tour). Our tour guide told us lots of interesting information and had a nice sense of humor. He made the tour interesting for adults and kids, and ages of the kids ranged from teens to 4 years old. The tour is prefect...

We were with group of student ... nothing very special for me :) ... it's a man made cave all parts are almost similar to each other. and long walking distance to entrance door.
Took the cruise on river with cave trip, was a great experience and the guide we had was superb . The caves have a great story to relate with or guide giving great detail and explanations. I really loved the part where we had the chance to experience true darkness when lights were dimmed and hidden, we were then-given instructions...

Loved it! Guide was very informative. Just felt a bit rushed - would loved to have explored more. Though they bring big lanterns for the tour, if you fancy seeing more than is lit up by the lanterns, it helps if you bring a phone with a flashlight app or a torch.
Did a tour in the caves in April. We had a very nice guide (all young locals) guiding us through the labyrint and telling a lot about the history of the place. The history is very interesting, but there is not much left to see. A lot of the tunnels were destroyed, as was the 'infrastructure' that used to be...
