We pre booked this tour before we left for Amsterdam. The reviews on Tripadvisor were all positive. We would have to agree. Peter, our tour guide certainly knows his history. Meeting point for our tour was just in front of the Anne Frank house. We received a little package which Peter put together, which was very informative. Total of our... More

My review is slightly late as we are still traveling through Europe and have been very busy but can say without any question that the Tour Peter took us on was the best of our trip. Peter's knowledge base of the unfortunate past of the WWII period in Amsterdam and beyond is amazing. He really enjoys what he does and... More

This tour was a great way to gain a new perspective of Amsterdam and learn about a very dark period in the city's history, covering a great many points of interest, at a perfect pace and providing insight into both historically significant landmarks as well as the city itself. Ben was an incredible guide, with a great knowledge of the... More

My husband and I were intrigued by the great reviews and equally interested in hearing some World War II history while visiting Amsterdam. The tour definitely lived up to our expectations. I would highly suggest the tour for anyone who is interested in the history of Amsterdam. Ben was a wonderful tour guide: extremely interesting and prepared. There were only... More

My 18 year old son and I greatly appreciated and enjoyed this tour. Peter was an excellent guide and had fascinating information about WW II in Amsterdam. We asked endless questions about culture and life in Amsterdam (e.g., legalized prostitution) to which he provided thoughtful and informative answers. This was the highlight of our time in Amsterdam.

It was a cold morning and my friends and I turned up, under dressed, groggy from night before, none of which was Ben's fault. Ben was very passionate about this topic, impartial and taught us many new things about the war, about Amsterdam. The walk was a good pace, it gave us the opportunity to see areas of Amsterdam that... More

It was a cold, cold morning last week when we met Peter for our walk. Despite the chill, it was a superb walk, not to be missed. Only 7 of us on the walk, well paced, very interesting, fun, thought provoking ... and no queues! View his website, request a booking via email, & don't be put off if you... More

I was taken on this walk by my sister & her husband, and I am very glad for it. We walked through beautiful Amsterdam on a beautiful 21st Century morning and came face to face with Europe's darkest times. Such as walking by a lovely 19th century hotel and our guide Peter holding a photo taken from where we stood,... More
