This is a small site but at the top of my list because of it's uniqueness and the original state of much of what was there. It was very beautiful but stairs are steep so it may not be good for the disabled or elderly.

We wanted to try some new things and when we heard about the "hidden churches" as a concept in Amsterdam, we said "why not?!". And from the look of it - a small door which appears to lead in a very tiny house - we thought we'd be in and out. Well, yes, but no! The whole thing is like... More

It was a pleasant surprise and the church in the attic was a lot larger than I expected. The audio guide provided gave good commentary, and it was nice to see what life was like back in the times the church was constructed.

When we went to see this museum, workers were re-constructing the chapel flooring. There just wasn't much to see beyond the upstairs chapel. In hindsight, we could easily have skipped this site for other more interesting venues.

This was a pleasant surprise. To think that the owner built a church inside his home was quite remarkable. Make this a must see on your visit to Amsterdam.

Audio guide included in the ticket. Just enough information, not too long. Could move around the museum at own pace, turning on audio guide when needed. Attic chapel is astonishing.

Nice to have a chance to see inside one of the canal-side houses and the beautiful chapel in the attic.

I had difficulty fining this place but that was just me. It's right near Oude Kerk. Very historically significant church, why hidden and who build it. The audio tour is a must. Otherwise you'd miss 75% of the description of this church. It seems large tour groups do not visit this museum and thus very quite and you can stroll... More

This museum is gives a fascinating glimpse into a particular aspect of Dutch life in the early modern period. From the outside it doesn't look like very much, but that was the entire point of the building. The museumy elements are kept to a minimum, leaving just the church to shine. The audio guide is easy to use, and I... More

It looks like a typical canal house in the RedLight district, but as you work your way upstairs, you find a three storey chapel in the upper floors, carefully restored and quite lovely. Audioguides are free and quite detailed.
