The most recent exhibition based on the portraits of Frans Hals and his contemporaries was exceptionally well presented. The museum itself is at all times worth a visit. It is a beautiful building with a great sense of character and history.

I like the size of this museum. Within an hour you could have see most of it, but if you have the time you can easily spend 3 to 4 fours.

It was really, really interesting much to my surprise. I am not deeply into art but this was very interesting, well presented and well worth the time spent visiting.
This year 2013 the historic museum, with a fine collection of Frans Hals paintings, is celebrating its 100th year. Please do not miss the opportunity to see Frans Hals paintings completed with paintings from other famous painters of his time.
