Great historical significance, architecture makes you want to just stand there and stare. You can't go to Brussels without appreciating the magnificence of the Grand Place.

Europe's finest collection of medieval buildings surround this wonderful square. There is nothing quite like it that I know of and at night, under floodlights, astounding.

very beautiful square best seen in the evening when there are less visitors. I visited one Christmas when there was a wonderful display of lights which included a projection of Santa Claus and sleigh arriving across the roof tops. I don't know whether this happens every year.
