This was interesting. But it makes the Grand Place just PACKED on the weekend. We went for the novelty of it. It is a pretty cool thing. But then move on. Don't plan your life around it, just not that cool.

The whole GranPlace is covered with flowers for a few days. It is an event that takes place every 2 years in August. Every time there is a special theme. Plan your trip at that time; it is worth seeing

the flowers were already half dead and it was quite small. Enjoy a parc to see flowers, not here. It's more a tourist trap

I just happened to be in Brussels when this was going on- unbeknownst to me- I'd never even heard of it, but I just happened to, on a late Saturday evening, walk right up on a large crowd of people flashing pictures and spotlights shining down, people sticking out of every crevice and window of the buildings on the square...... For those who like flowers and art it can be a very impressive "carpet" to see. It is amazing how well done it is. I saw it twice and both times was impressed. If you are in a romantic trip it can give even better feeling as flowers are always positioned with romance and beauty)

It's so beautiful how well kept this place is! It made me want to lie on it, it looks so beautiful! Make sure to come here in the spring or summer, I guess late fall and winter, the flowers are all dead, so we were very glad we got to see this just in time! We were there early Fall!
