Many classy, hip stores to choose from. Good cafes as well. Worth a leisurely walking visit. It feels as though your in in a 1960's vintage movie.
Everywhere it's being called a Brussels shopping street. But it's really not convinient at all to do shopping there. You can barely cross that huge street to go the other side. One can find almost anything there. Luxury shops,megastores,top hotels,good restaurants,nice residential buildings.A good neighbourhood with lots to do around.

Avenue Louise has nice shops, but if you want Haute-Couture names and shops you have to go to the Boulevard De Waterloo which annexes the avenue louise, just like any capital Brussels has all the big designer names, just not at the avenue Louise anymore
Another shopping street with the big name brand stores - ok if you like expensive shops. The footpath is a bit of a joke with cars parked on it so the shoppers squeeze past! I recommend hopping on one of the great trams and taking a trip up and down to see the whole street (94 goes all the way).
Avenue Louise is a lovely avenue that runs from the very glamorous and expensive stores to increasingly lovely apt quarters and ends toward the wooded area of bois de la cambre. It has many places to stop. Still lovely to walk along on Sundays but beware as little is open.
Strolling around the Avenue Louise gives you a hint of what the old glory days might have looked like for the wealthy Brussels citizens. Defintely needs a make over, but the old class is still there. It tries to be in the big league of similar places elsewhere as in Rome, Paris or Berlin but doesn't make it, having nothing original that other pl;aces don't have
