It is only 2 euros entrance fee and there are 3 floors of amazing exhibits. It was like a tardis the rooms just kept going on from one to another.
You could spend all day there, there was so much to see crammed in every corner. It is not necessary to know any french as a lot of the exhibits...

Much bigger inside than it looks from the outside. A marvellous collection, painstakingly collected and displayed. I am not usually a museam person, disliking looking at old coins, broken pottery, swords and armour and musty old clothes but this is different. I really enjoyed it. (also worth noting that, although entrance is inexpensive, museums are free on the first Sunday...

We spent a fascinating one hour and half ( not long enough ) viewing this mix of local culture, industry and history. It clearly demonstrated the regional importance that Tournai had held in the past. The staff were very courteous and helpful with our enquiries. We will certainly return when we next visit Tournai and spend longer viewing the exhibits.
