This museum appears to be tiny at the beginning, but once you move into the Muslim art collection, it is actually huge! Lots of interesting pieces, and it's free! Highly recommend it.

This museum is one of the lesser known in Copenhagen. Really, it is a secret pearl, containing a fairly big and definately very good collection of Middle Eastern / Arabic items. On the 2nd floor is good collection of Danish paintings, predominantly from the first half of the 20th century. Definately worth a visit!
This was on 2 floors covering fabric, rugs, coins, pottery and much more. Very informative and interesting to see how different empires created different things and what did the patterns mean.. If you have an interest in history...would be good to see the David collection ... The entrance is free...
This museum has some excellent collection of Islamic art and coins collections especially with very good interactive description and history behind each. A must see in Copenhagen and worth a visit. The entry is free
Worth visiting, nice collection specially the islamic art, with free entrance in a very charming neighborhood.
The content of the museum left much to be desired. Mostly Islamic text. There were some few nice pieces, but it is not worth the time.
Had a hard time finding the place using the gps link from TA, so I walked around a bit and found it on my own. The museum is a worthwhile visit for those passionate about history and those looking to learn about one of history's cradles of civilization. Great exibit and good presentation in a classic and cozy building.
I was intrigue about this popular place thats why I got here. Upon entrance you will be greeted by a smiling staff will provide you an audio guide. Surprise to know lots of Islamic relics can be found here with accurate description and history. Was never really a fan of museums but the elegance and grand of this place made...

Close to the Rosenborg Slot (palace), across the park = this WONDERFUL DISCOVERY. The David Samling or The David Collection is exhibited in a quiet and beautiful building, that lies behind a non-descript street view!
We took in both the permanent and temporary (Flora Islamica) exhibitions. Having enjoyed London's V&A museum islamic art collection....I can safely say this TOTALLY OUTSHINES...

Set in an immaculately maintained, beautiful building, the David Collection is an interesting diversion in the centre of Copenhagen. Having little knowledge of Islam or its art, I found the history of the Islamic people written in English on panels in each room fascinating. One or two items in each display are mentioned on the English audio guide, which is...
