We attended a ballet by the Royal Danish Ballet, so a double whammy in terms of experiencing the wonderful architecture of this theatre and a superb performance of one of the leading ballet companies in the world. We were also lucky to share the performance with the Queen of Denmark.

The old scene at the Royal Danish Theater is splendid, exceptionally beautiful. They put on ethereal and beautiful ballets but make sure you get a better seats as the cheapest seats can be really uncomfortable.

High quality performances in a magnificent building. Worth a visit for the building, if nothing else. Usually a good range of prices depending on where one wants to sit. It is worth knowing that it is half price for people under the age of 25 which certainly makes it more affordable for a family visit. Clearly a well loved and... More

The Royal theatre and the marvellous Royal Danish Ballet should be on every visitos "must visit" list. The ballet company is one of the best in Europe, and certainly the best outside Russia. They have a rich history thanks to August Bournonville who created such epics as La Sylphide, Folkesagn (A Folk Tale), Kermesse in Bruges, Napoli, Konservatoriet and many... More

I went to see my first ballet, Sleeping Beauty. It was spectacular - the architecture of the theater is nice, and it really helps to add that last bit of magic. The costumes were amazing and the dancers were great!! I'm already planning when to come back.

The night before I left Copenhagen, I was by myself and thought what to do? I went to the theater and got tickets for a classic ballet for 6 Euros (cheapest seat plus student discount), just before the ticket office closed. (It took place at the old stage) I can only recommend to do this, as going out in Copenhagen... More

My friend and I don't speak danish but wanted to watch a show and really enjoy a nice experience in this theater. We managed to get discount tickets (on sale everyday if you get it in the ticket booth right next to the theater) and watched My Fair Lady. Even though everything was in Danish but we really did enjoyed... More
